Children at Arundel CE Primary School raise over £1000 for EWA
Arundel CE Primary School is a small school with approximately 200 pupils aged between 4 and 11. The children in Years 3 and 4 were challenged to fundraise for a charity, and chose EWA. Each child chose their own way to make money, and many of the children in other classes decided to join in as well. Fundraising activities included cleaning parents' cars, making cakes and biscuits and swimming a mile in the local pool. Some of the pupils worked out how far it is from Arundel to Sierra Leone and walked that distance. One boy asked for money for his birthday and gave all of it to EWA. Another pupil held a tea party in their garden.
After only three weeks, the children had raised over £1,000.
Penelope and Rod Sharman visited the school to thank the pupils and receive the money on behalf of EWA.
Well done Arundel CE Primary School!
